Greetings from Melbourne, Australia.

Do you love your typewriter? Do you enjoy writing? Please, feel free to join me in my typewriter adventures anytime.

I’ve lived most of my life in Melbourne, however I spent several years in Brisbane as well. I moved back to Melbourne in 2014, and I’m once again loving this city. It has a tremendous feel for art and culture, and isn’t stinking hot. It’s also the sort of place where you can whip out a typewriter and type – without anyone batting an eyelid or calling you a hipster.

    • Hi Tom, sounds like the carriage lock is on. If you aren’t sure where it is, just google how to release carriage lock on your typewriter. They are always locked when putting in case to protect it from getting damaged.

  2. Hello, I’m wondering if you know of any typewriter gathering groups in Melbourne? I’ve been hooked on typing since 1981. I have quite a few that I’m in the middle of repairing. I’m obsessed with them. Would be fun to meet up with other typewriter enthusiasts.
    Kind regards
    Tracey
